CH100 Survey of Church History

A general survey of the history of the Christian church from its founding at Pentecost to the present day. Attention will be drawn to pivotal figures and theological controversies allowing the student to form a framework for more indepth studies into Church history.

CH200 Early Church History

The development of the Christian church from Pentecost to the time of Constantine. Examination of the literature, formative doctrine, historical circumstances of the church, and the role Christianity played in the lives of ordinary people.

CH230 The Protestant Reformation

A study of the impact of key figures such as Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, Bucer, Munzer, Simons, and Cranmer on both the Continental and English Reformations.

CH300 History of the Bible

A survey of the historical (and providential) phenomena of the history of the Bible from its originals up to our modern translations.  (A knowledge of Greek and Hebrew is not required).
